MC Luuky is one of the new stars of Brazilian music. In 2024, he established himself as one of the major revelations of the A Base Records label, a branch dedicated to new talents of the GR6 label, and is already standing out with his music videos on YouTube. Since 2021, he has been regularly releasing and producing new music, but his first album, “Menor do Desacato,” only arrived at the end of 2024. From this album came his biggest hit to date, “Malvadinho,” which has already accumulated over 104 million streams on Spotify and more than 115 million views on YouTube. Born and raised in the Jardim Leme neighborhood, located in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo, Luuky is 22 years old and had other jobs before diving into the music world. However, with the goal of changing his life, he turned to funk music as a way to fulfill his dreams. His big breakthrough in the funk scene happened with “Desacato,” released at the end of 2023, but his passion for the rhythm started much earlier. Luuky decided to pursue a career as an MC at a young age, around 2013, trying to break into the industry through an independent record label. Persisting in his dream, he signed a contract with A Base through a connection. He was mentored by MC Don Juan and released his first big hit, “Desacato,” which featured his “godfather,” Ryan SP, as well as MC Davi, Traplaudo, MC Kadu, and Gui da Norte. The track has reached over 69 million streams on Spotify and 41 million views on YouTube. Initially, the song only had the chorus with MC Luuky’s voice, and that’s when Gui da Norte was called to produce the track, becoming one of its performers as well. MC Luuky doesn’t stop and by 2025 has already released more than 10 new singles, mostly in collaboration with several other artists. He brings all that energy to the Palco Sumol of the 15th Sumol Summer Fest on July 5th.
